A wasp nest in the loft, eaves, shed or garden can quickly become dangerous. JNT Pest Control treats wasp nests safely and effectively so you can get your home and garden back.
Wasp control
Wasp nests grow rapidly through the summer and a mature nest can hold thousands of wasps. Signs of a nest near your home include:
Please do not try to block the entrance or knock a nest down yourself. Disturbed wasps can become aggressive and stings can cause serious allergic reactions.
Our process
We find the nest and its entry point, even when it is hidden in a roof space, wall cavity or hedge.
We apply a professional treatment directly to the nest using the right protective equipment and kit for the job.
Wasp activity drops off quickly after treatment. We will explain what to expect and what to do next.
Local cover
We treat wasp nests in Ripon, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Thirsk, Masham, Bedale, Boroughbridge, Northallerton and the villages in between.
FAQs
Queens start building nests in spring and nests are at their biggest and most active from July to September. Treating a nest early, while it is still small, is usually quicker and easier.
Activity usually drops significantly within a few hours and the nest normally dies off within a day or two. You may still see a few wasps returning during that time.
In most cases the nest does not need to be physically removed once it has been treated, as old nests are not reused. If removal is needed, we can advise.
If you are not sure, send us a description or photo when you call. Bees are treated differently, and we always identify the insect before any treatment.
